The Rubberlite White / Clear (New) series provide a matt finish with the regular silkscreen printing technique.
The Rubberlite White / Clear (New) grades differ in terms of opacity and are used based on the required
colours of the print and of the fabric. The Rubberlite White / Clear (New) series is environment friendly and
is completely free of the following chemicals : formaldehyde, phthalate, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), azo, lead,
chromium, mercury, nickel, tin, chromium and aromatic solvents.
Rubberlite White (New) – Highly opaque and highly elastic with brilliant white tone. Suitable for prints on
dark fabric.
Rubberlite Clear (New) – Transparent and highly elastic. Suitable for colour prints on white and light
colour fabric. Well suited for process and tone colour prints.
Application Procedure
Rubberlite White / Clear (New) are thixotropic and can become more viscous when left standing for
prolonged periods of time. However, the viscosity will reduce with stirring or agitation during the usual
process of printing. Small amounts of clean water can be added to reduce viscosity if necessary. Rubberlite
White / Clear (New) are suitable for silkscreen prints with screen mesh sizes of 100-130. For finer screen
prints (150-200) the addition of Humidifier is recommended to reduce potential clogging of the screen.
Rubberlite White / Clear (New) are formulated without formaldehyde-containing fixers. Add 1-3% of Fixer
NF into Rubberlite White / Clear (New) to improve wash fastness and adhesion if necessary. The potlife
after the addition of Fixer NF is 8 hrs. It is recommended that Fixer be added right before printing and not
left overnight. After drying, the prints are fully cured at 135oC for ~2 min.
Storage
Do not exceed twelve months from date of manufacture. Protect from frost (>5oC). Keep lids tightly closed
